Both the table and bench were the first pieces I designed and made at Goldfinger. Marrying a rustic, truss‑style structure with a lighter, more contemporary expression, the Sylvan dining table and bench reinterpret the classic farmhouse typology with a clean, modern sensibility.

The tabletop features breadboard ends running cross‑grain to the main panel, adding stability and a subtle visual accent. The gently tapered legs are set into the surface of the tabletop, creating a playful interplay of grain and form.

Each piece is crafted from solid British timber, sourced locally from trees felled due to urban development or weather‑related incidents, giving new life to materials rooted in the landscape around us.
